Honey chilli potato is a crispy starter item which is delicious and has lots of nutritional values. It is a popular dish in Indian restaurant. Today, we are going to teach you an easy method to prepare it at home. Quick, easy and flavorful.
Ingredients -
- Frozen French Fries - App. 200 gm [I use McCain]
For Toss Mix
- Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
- Oil - 1.5 TBSP
- Tomato Sauce - 2 tsps
- Salt - To Taste
For Sauce
- Oil - 1/2 Tbsp
- Crushed Garlic Cloves - 2
- Tomato Sauce - 1 Tbsp
- Red Chili Sauce - 1 tsp
- Vinegar - 2 tsp
- Honey - 1.5 Tbsp
- Chopped Spring Onions for Garnish - Few
Procedure -
- Make sure to keep all ingredients ready before you start preparing [Very Important]
- Mix all the ingredients of Toss Mix together.
- Heat the oil in the pan or fryer to around 175°C / 350°F. Place your McCain French Fries and let them sizzle away for 2 - 3 minutes, until they're lovely, crisp and light golden. For best results cook from frozen.
- Once done toss them in Toss Mix.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add garlic and saute for 10-15 seconds on high flame.
- Next, add Tomato Sauce, Red Chilli Sauce and Vinegar to it. Mix for for 10-15 seconds.
- Add French fries to it and toss for a minute on medium flame.
- Add the Honey and toss it again for 15-20 seconds.
- Adjust Salt, if required.
- Turn off heat and put it on a serving plate.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with chopped spring onions.
- Serve them hot.
