Pav Bhaji


Ingredients -

  • Potatoes - 4
  • Peas - 1 cup
  • Tomatoes - 3
  • Onions - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala - 3 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 3 tsp
  • Coriander leaves  - 4 tsp
  • Butter - 50 gms
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Water - 1 glass


Procedure -

  • Boil potatoes and peas and mash them and keep aside. 
  • Also grind the tomatoes and keep.
  • Heat oil and add onions, when pink add ginger garlic paste, tomato paste, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and pav bhaji masala, 
  • Cook until the oil leaves, then add lemon juice, coriander leaves and water. Simmer for another 5 minutes. 
  • Now add the mashed vegetables and mix well. 
  • Add water to adjust consistency. 
  • Add butter and simmer.
  • Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves, onions and a piece of butter along with pav.
